When it comes to the care of your lingerie...
SAY NO TO FABRIC SOFTENER!!
The softener gradually breaks down the Lycra in your clothes and causes the bobbling that is usually found on frequently washed garments that contain Lycra; this will also cause loss of elasticity  and structure.
Underwear should be washed in water no hotter that 30c. This especially applies to bras with under wire as the plastic stoppers at each end of the under wire can wear away under too high a temperature leaving the exposed metal to poke through and tear fabric.
Washed items with padded cups should be re-shaped before leaving to dry.
Dry all underwear away from direct or extreme heat.
Do not tumble dry.
You may also find that no matter how well you take care of your whites, they become discoloured. The discolouration is usually due to the natural reaction between your skin and the fabric.
